We both came to Westport looking for something similar - community, room to breathe, and a place that felt like home. Somewhere along the way, we realized we shared another idea: the dream of a neighborhood general store.

Our paths here were different. Jackie spent 20+ years in NYC buying and merchandising, developing an instinct for great product and the stories behind it. Travis built his career in marketing and events, spotting trends and creating memorable moments.

When we started talking about Compo General Store, we quickly realized we had been dreaming about different versions of the same thing. So we decided to build it together.

Compo General Store is our take on the neighborhood general store - thoughtfully curated, a little unexpected, and deeply connected to the place we call home. We seek out things with character and purpose: gifts worth giving, objects worth keeping, and brands and makers with stories worth sharing.

We’re starting online and in the community, but our dream has always been bigger: to bring Compo General Store to life as a gathering place of its own.
